The Harajuku streetwear design of the Bape Carhartt Jacket is mixed with the heavy-duty workwear utility. This is an active jacket with a structures and a waist through fit which maintains the shape of the jacket during work in the day. It serves as the outermost layer of the BAPE “uniform” as worn with oversized hoodies/graphic tees.

Shape & Aesthetic
This jacket uses a stiff yet strong-windproof Dearborn Canvas that gives it a sturdy and boxy appearance. The weight of the fabric keeps the hood erect and the rib-knit cuffs and bottom band give a good, tapered finish. The washdown canvas creates the appearance of a battered garment with a disheartened look, without sacrificing the sturdy and practical appearance of the garment.
Care & Authenticity
Clean little spots using a wet cloth and gentle detergent. Deep cleaning: Machine wash cold cycle gentle cycle and hang to dry so that canvas does not shrink. To ensure that it is genuine, check the inner side-seam of the BAPE goldforyuan (ape) face hologram and of the woven labels on the packaging, including the Carhartt WIP Work in Progress.
The attached hood features a wide-cut design and adjustable drawcords. It provides ample room for larger head sizes or for wearing over a beanie or cap without feeling tight.
This jacket does not include a hat brim. The hood uses a structured hem that maintains its shape around the face, and you can tighten the opening using the flat-knit drawstrings.
The heavy 12 oz canvas is snag-proof and resists stretching. While the fabric softens with age for better mobility, the triple-stitched seams ensure the jacket retains its original boxy shape throughout years of use.
